No coffee. The refrigerator was hanging in a hole. Just felt dirty. Found some bugs. I wanted to wash and clean everything before I put it in my house just felt dirty. Was cheep. Well 75 bucks

The good - The staff is friendly. Stephen is very helpful.

The bad - I'll start off with these issues that were slightly minor for me and could be major problems for others. The door frame was majorly cracked from, I'm assuming, being kicked in in the past. The door latch was broken in half. There's a big gap at the bottom of the door. The closet door was broken and leaning against the other closet door. The bathroom vent was hanging down on one side. There was a light fixture missing from the bathroom ceiling so there was just a big hole there. The shower door was broken and would not close so it just kept swinging open. There were stains on the floor. The sheets AND blanket had rips and tears. There was a wooden board hanging from underneath the box spring and the bed was squeaky in a way that would make one nervous of it breaking right then and there. Okay, those were minor issues for my husband and I. We booked room 226 for 3 nights, April 20-23, 2018. The second floor of the hotel is only accessible from the inside of the building - You can enter through the lobby or the stairs which are located on the sides of the building. You need your key card to access the stairs from the outside. The first floor rooms have doors exposed to the outside world.

Our first night we were woken up by some guy banging on our door calling out for "Monica" and he was trying to open the door with his key card and jiggling the handle - this was at 1:30am. I assumed the idiot had the wrong room and didn't bother to double check his room number for about 10 minutes. The second night the SAME EXACT GUY CAME BACK TO OUR ROOM doing the same thing, banging on our door while calling out for "Monica", trying to open the door with a key car and jiggling the handle. This was at 3:00am this time. I get up and watch this guy through the peephole as he's standing there for a few minutes looking down at his phone and then deciding to leave. He exits the building down the stairs. I can only assume he had an old key card and was still able to access the building with it AND he was probably some drug addict. I did not sleep well the first night and didn't sleep from 3am the second night into the next day.

The manager wasn't available that next day so Stephen helped us get AT LEAST a partial refund. We booked through Hotwire and did the Hot Rates for a 2.5 star rating hotel (lesson learned). We DID NOT stay the third night. We packed all of our stuff, reported what happened, and got the hell out of there all before 8am. And while we were packing our car that early morning we see a homeless guy laughing and talking to himself while going through every trash can at that hotel, even in front of the lobby where he was easily seen by everyone - okay, whatever, we're outta there anyway.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention after the 3am shenanigans on the second night, about 20 minutes later there's a tow truck pulling up in the parking lot towing a car while being escorted by police - cool.

After this whole experience, I'm going to write a song about "Monica" and see how successful it is!
